When to choose what

Rosehip for

Anti-ageing face oils, scar-reduction serums, “skin renewal” positioning, Andes-heritage storytelling.

Pomegranate for

Premium anti-inflammatory positioning, cell-renewal serums, “punicic acid” claim-driven brands.

Sea Buckthorn for

Skin-repair / healing positioning, Himalayan-heritage storytelling, omega-7-claim positioning.

Hybrid approach

Many premium anti-ageing brands blend small percentages of all three with a jojoba base for a “complete” anti-ageing carrier matrix.

What ships consistently across all three

Premium tier — smaller minimums + same QC architecture:

  • Cold-pressed cosmetic-grade default
  • Fatty acid profile reported on COA
  • Colour declared (these oils are not colourless)
  • Allergen statement (nut + berry source where applicable)

Buyer FAQ — extended

Shelf life concern across these three premium oils?
All three have shorter shelf life than mainstream carriers (12-18 months sealed). The high polyunsaturated content makes them oxidation-prone. Adding 0.5-1% vitamin E extends shelf life 30-60%.

Cold-pressed vs CO2-extract rosehip?
Cold-pressed retains the bright golden colour + characteristic aroma. CO2-extract (less common) gives a deeper red colour and higher trans-retinoic-acid content. We supply both grades on confirmation.

Pomegranate seed oil unique compound?
Punicic acid — a conjugated linolenic acid found only in pomegranate seed oil (and a small handful of less commercial seed oils). Punicic acid is the marker for premium anti-ageing positioning.

Sea Buckthorn berry oil vs seed oil — which?
Different oils. Seed oil = lighter, more linoleic, used as cosmetic carrier. Berry oil = orange-red, high carotenoid + omega-7 content, more concentrated. Both available. Confirm at PI stage.

Minimum order?
All three are premium tier — 500g sample → 1 kg pilot → 5 kg drum → 25 kg → FCL. Smaller starting tier reflects higher per-kg pricing.
