REACH Compliance for Bulk Aromatic Ingredient Imports — EU + UK

REACH is the regulatory backbone for chemical imports into the EU. UK-REACH is the post-Brexit equivalent for the UK market. For EU/UK buyers importing bulk essential oils, aromatic chemicals, and isolates from India, REACH paperwork is non-optional.

What REACH covers

REACH requires all chemicals imported or placed on the EU market above 1 tonne per year per importer to be registered with ECHA. It covers identity, hazard profile, exposure scenarios, risk management. UK-REACH (post-Brexit) is the GB equivalent with separate registration database but largely parallel obligations.
