Frequently asked — OEM & private label
Will you put my brand label on the bottle without your name anywhere?
Yes. Standard OEM private-label — your label only, no Expo Organics reference. Regulatory disclosure (“Manufactured by Expo Organics, India”) only included if your destination jurisdiction requires it (most don’t for cosmetic-grade products). For pharma OTC + food positioning, manufacturer disclosure is typically mandatory.
What’s the smallest possible first run for a D2C founder?
500 bottles minimum per SKU. Most founders begin with 2-3 SKUs × 500 bottles each = 1,500 bottles total first run. Typical first-run commitment ₹2-6 lakhs depending on bottle size, oil cost, label complexity.
Can you handle the FDA cosmetic registration for my US launch?
Yes — Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP) data preparation included in our regulatory dossier service. FDA filing fee is paid by you. Typical 4-6 weeks from spec approval to filing complete.
How long does first-time formula development take?
2-3 weeks from brief to first sample. Subsequent iterations within 1 week each. Most blends approved within 2-4 sample iterations. Complex compounds (e.g. 12-ingredient perfume) can take 6-8 weeks.
Do you own the formula or do I?
You own the formula. Our standard OEM agreement assigns full IP rights to you for any custom blend developed under your brief. We retain rights only to our underlying ingredient SKUs (which anyone can buy). We sign NDAs before formula sharing.
Can I supply my own bottles + labels and you just fill them?
Yes — contract-fill model. You ship pre-printed bottles + caps to our Mayur Vihar facility, we fill + cap + label + box + dispatch. Typical contract-fill cost ₹15-45 per bottle depending on volume + complexity, on top of the oil cost.
