Organic for
EU cosmetic OEM with COSMOS-positioned brand, US “clean beauty” D2C, premium spa amenity, organic-food flavour, premium ayurveda.
Conventional for
Mass-market FMCG soap / candle, F&F compounding (where finished product is not organic-positioned), industrial cleaning, generic pharma OTC.
Don’t over-spec
Buying organic carrier oil when your finished product is mass-market positioning wastes the premium. Organic is for finished-product positioning, not generic safety.

Organic-certified lots typically have longer lead time (4–6 weeks vs 2–3 weeks) due to chain-of-custody documentation and certifier scheduling.
