Buyer FAQ — extended

Photo-toxicity — which oils are concerning?
Lemon and Lime are the most photo-toxic (high bergapten + other furocoumarins). Grapefruit is moderate. For leave-on cosmetics, use FCF (Furocoumarin-Free) grades. Distilled lime is lower-risk than expressed lime.

Origin — Italian vs Brazilian vs Indian?
Italian (Calabrian / Sicilian) carries the heritage premium. Brazilian is the highest-volume global production. Indian is cost-competitive. We supply from all three, origin declared on COA.

Citrus pesticide residue concerns?
Citrus oils can carry pesticide residue from peel processing. We test for residue panel on every cosmetic-bound lot. Organic-equivalent (COSMOS / NOP) grades available on prior confirmation.

D-Limonene content across the three?
Lemon: 60–75% · Lime: 48–65% · Grapefruit: 85–95% — Grapefruit has the highest D-Limonene of any commercial citrus.

Minimum order?
1 kg sample → 25 kg HDPE drum → 180 kg → FCL on all three. Cold-pressed default for cosmetic; distilled grades available for photo-toxicity-sensitive applications.
